Window repair & prep · Twin CitiesFixing and prepping the windows you have.
I’m not a window company, so I won’t try to sell you new windows. I work on windows that stick or are worn out, prep them before paint or a sale, and take care of window items on an inspection list.
- Free estimates from photos
- Inspection-list items
- Prep and paint together
- Cleanup included
What I work on
What I can help with on windows.
Most window work starts one of three ways. A window sticks and you’ve given up on opening it, the trim needs prep before it can be painted, or a buyer’s inspector put a window on the repair list. Send me a photo and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s something I can fix. If it is, it can go on the same visit as the rest of your list.
- Windows that stick
- Worn-out windows
- Prep before painting
- Inspection list items
- Touch-ups before listing
- Repairs between tenants
Might as well do these too
- Paint the window trim once it’s prepped
- Fix the doors that stick, too
- Replace the smoke and CO detectors
- Finish the rest of the inspection list
- Clean up the yard outside
Small jobs add up, so it’s worth putting a few on one visit.
When to call about a window
Good reasons to call about a window.
It sticks
You’ve stopped opening it because it fights you every time. Send me a photo and tell me what it’s doing.
Paint is next
Old window trim needs prep before fresh paint will look right. I can do the prep and the painting on the same job, so you aren’t waiting on one person to finish before the next one can start.
It’s on the inspection list
A buyer’s inspector flagged a window. I’ll look at it with everything else on the list.
Window questions
Before you call about a window.
Do you replace windows or glass?
No. I work on the windows you already have. If one needs new glass or a full replacement, I’ll tell you that after I look at it, and we can talk about what to do next.
Can you tell what’s wrong from a photo?
Sometimes. Send a photo and a short note on what it’s doing. If I can’t tell from the picture, I’ll come take a look. Estimates are free.
Is one window worth a service call?
Sure, I’ll come out for one window. There’s a $100 minimum, though, so it usually makes sense to add a few other things from your list while I’m there.
Can you prep and paint the windows too?
Yes. Prep, paint and any other repairs can go on one estimate, and I’ll do them together.
