Morehouse Repairs FAQQuestions I get a lot

Quick answers to what people usually ask before they call. If yours isn’t here, call or text me at 763-232-3468, any time.

The work

What do you do?

Interior and exterior painting, junk removal, toilet and sink installation, light fixtures and smoke/CO detectors, LVP flooring, window repair, moving help, landscaping, garage floor coverings, and general handyman repairs. I also get houses ready to sell and do rental turnovers. Here’s the full list.

Do you only paint?

No. Painting’s a big part of it, but most jobs end up being a mix of paint, repairs, fixtures, flooring and hauling. I’d rather take the whole list than one piece of it.

Can you do several things on one visit?

Yes, and I’d encourage it. Send me the whole list and I’ll price it together, so you’re not lining up separate contractors.

Do you work with realtors, landlords and property managers?

All the time. I help realtors and sellers get houses ready to list and work through inspection-report items, and I do turnovers and repair lists for landlords and property managers.

Do you take commercial jobs?

Yes. I work on houses, rentals and commercial buildings.

Can you handle electrical and plumbing?

I do fixture work: replacing toilets and sinks, swapping light fixtures, and replacing smoke and CO detectors. I’m not an electrician or a plumber. If a job needs one, I’ll tell you up front, and I can subcontract that part to a licensed pro when it makes sense.

Are you insured?

Yes, I’m insured.

Do you do insurance or storm-damage work?

Not right now.

Estimates and pricing

Are estimates free?

Always. I can price a job in person, from photos you send, or both.

Can I get a quote from photos?

A lot of the time, yes. Take a wide shot of the space and a close-up of each problem, then text them to 763-232-3468, email them to [email protected], or add them to the estimate form. Here’s what to shoot.

How do you charge?

Every job starts with a free estimate, and you’ll have it before anything gets scheduled. From small to tall, we take care of them all.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, $100. If you’ve got a few small things, put them all on one visit and get your money’s worth.

Do you charge for travel?

There’s no hard limit on how far I’ll go. For jobs farther out, I build the travel into the bid, so it’s right there in the estimate.

Scheduling

How soon can you start?

Usually within about a week of your first call.

Do you work nights and weekends?

Yes. I’m available 24/7, including short-notice jobs, late nights and weekends. If I can’t pick up right away, leave a message or send a text and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

When are you busiest?

Spring through fall. Winter’s a little slower, so it’s a good time to get indoor projects on my calendar.

What happens after I reach out?

We talk through the job and your options, and I’ll come take a look if it helps. Then you get a free estimate. Once you’re ready, I schedule the work, keep you updated with before, during and after pictures, clean up, and then you pay.

Payment and the details

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Venmo and PayPal.

Do you supply materials, or can I?

Either one. I can pick up materials, or use what you already have.

Do you clean up and haul away the mess?

Yes. Cleanup and haul-away are part of the job.

What’s the best way to reach you?

Whatever’s easiest for you. Call or text 763-232-3468, or email [email protected].
